D.I.Y. Pizza

After a decades long love affair, and after the past year's serious courtship, I've decided to try my hand at making my own pizzas. Real pizza with homemade dough and sauce. Not that I haven't eaten and loved countless Digiorno build-your-owns, Chef Boyardee pizza kits, and frozen pizzas (Stouffer's French Bread pizza, I'm looking at you), but this is entirely different.

Here are some "proud papa" moments.

They're (obviously) not perfect, but they're good. And they're only going to get better.

Awesome! Are these in chronological order? It appears you can see the progression from the more oblong, vaguely circular shape up top to more of a circle on the bottom two (which also look like better pizzas BTW...more of a golden crust, even though what I'm guessing is extra bake time burned the cheese a tad). BTW, I definitely still struggle to get circles all the time.

Those look very good to me and you should be a proud papa. Betcha they already tasted better than a lot of what you can buy from a pizzeria! Good stuff, you've made me hungry.....
